Toddler Activities

Often the simple a toddlers activity is, the more enjoyment they will get out of the activity. There is no need to spend lots of money on expensive toys. Toddlers will often get more fun and will help their development playing simple activities. Using cause and effect activities and games (outdoor games) which engage your toddlers motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.

Toddlers love to empty and re-fill things. Sand is an ideal material to use. If you have a sand pit, add some empty buckets and your child will have hours of fun. Sand can be a bit messy for indoors, but you can use anything. Try a bucket or jar and put beans or pebbles into it.

In play, toddlers always like to be on the move - large muscle activities such as running and climbing dominate over small muscle activities such as exploring objects constructing.
