Recovery after giving birth

Many new mothers try to do too much, too soon - especially if there are older
siblings in the house. For the first week postpartum, try to care only for yourself and your baby's immediate needs. Let someone else cook, clean, shop and attend to those other parts of your life.

Use all those people who offered to help. Don't over do things, when people come to "see the baby".

Tell your partner to take over your more strenuous duties.
