even if you want to evaluate the child care options that you currently
use.
Verify that the care program is licensed
Group sizes are the correct ratio
Staff to child ratios meet or exceed licensing standards
Holiday/vacation/sick child policies are acceptable.

Hours are suitable for your schedule
Carers have training and experience

Caregivers seem interested in talking with parents about the children and the program
Discipline policy exists and is explained
The costs are appropriate
Kids have opportunities to explore materials/ideas
I would be comfortable leaving my child here
I agree with philosophy and policies
Facilities are clean, attractive and safe
there are enough equipment and toys for toddlers
Other parents speak highly of program
There is a safe outdoor play area
bathrooms and diapering areas are clean
there is a proper sleeping space
First aid supplies and fire extinguisher are present
If meals are required, they are adequate and nutritious
Parents are involved in decision making
Parents are permitted to visit at any time
Parents are kept up to date on their childrens progress
